Okay, so I know it’s a little ridiculous…but hey, once you have a child, you learn all kinds of lessons.
As the music was playing and lyrics of Little Bo Peep were being sung, something came to mind. Christ refers to us as sheep – some are his sheep, others aren’t because they don’t recognize his voice. But, ironically, much of the church applies the Little Bo Peep Methodology to evangelism. Observe:
Little Bo Peep has lost her sheep,
And doesn’t know where to find them.
Leave them alone and they’ll come home,
Bringing their tails behind them.
Unfortunately, much of the Church believes exactly that; you don’t have to share your faith. Instead, just let people live their own lives, and eventually, they’ll come home when they’re ready to.
I know. The song doesn’t make much for a sermon, but it does bring a thought to the mind.
